Weekend News

What did you do on the weekend?  Can you think of a sentence starter that 'hooks' the reader in to start you in writing today?
Mine would have to be: Strutting their stuff onto the park, dressed in white and ready to impress.
(The All Blacks came to Morrinsville yesterday!)
