Danish Day

Amelia's grandad comes from Denmark.  He lives in Tauranga and his name is Johannes (but people call him Joe).  Amelia's grandad and grandma came over for the afternoon to tell us all about Denmark.  We learnt how to say some Danish words and we ate some Danish baking. What did you enjoy the most about the visit?

Shelley and Germany

We had the coolest day today!! Archer's Mum Shelley came in to talk to us about Germany.  Archer's grandad is from Germany and so Shelley used to spend 6 weeks of every year in Germany.

Shelley can speak German and she is a great at making german food.  We were lucky to try some delicious german potato salad and cute heart biscuits that she made especially for our class!

We love learning about new cultures and we think Archer is lucky to eat german food at home. Thank you Shelley for coming in.  We learnt so much :)

Pepeha with Room 6
